Family Visits

Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to spend family time right here in Jackson!  We had lunch at Jackson Lake Lodge Pioneer Grill (blackened salmon sandwich with fries!!).   We watched a grizzly bear take a nap in the rain. We went to the National Museum of Wildlife Art and saw the Joel Sartore Photo Ark exhibit (here through August 20, 2017 -- highly recommend experiencing these intimate animal photographs).  We had some fantastic ribs at Bubba's BBQ. We had quiet family time in the backyard!

Thanks Aunt Lillian - love you to Boston and back 10 times over!!

Summer is Here!

We had enough rain and then a fantastic heat wave to really pop out the colors.  Wildflowers are everywhere and walking the trails is simply magical.  I almost feel as though we are trekking through the jungle!

We have 3 great families spending the summer with us.  This is Gaylia's 5th summer, Rosemary's 3rd summer and we are happy to welcome Jan and Dave for their first summer.  They have 2 adorable granddaughters and it is very nice to meet their family.

Snow King - Cache Creek - Ferrins Trail

Waiting for snow, moose and more

Although the busiest time of the year around here is the summer, the people that experience Jackson in the winter have their own special treat!

Moose in the Yard - taking a snooze  We had a moose visit our yard last winter.   This photo was taken out by our garden.  I'm sure she walked over the fence, the snow was so deep!  When we saw her, we opened the gates.  She got up and walked out!

We are lucky to have enough snow to ski, but barely!  Grant is on the ski club J6 ski team.  His first race was at Snow King resort (3 blocks away!) on the 31st of December.
